Restorie

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 14, 2026

Restorie is a photo restoration app operated by Alexander Hurski. This policy explains what information the app and its supporting service process, why they process it, who receives it, and how you can delete it or contact us. “We” and “us” mean Alexander Hurski as the operator of Restorie. Information we process

Photos and restoration data. When you choose or take a photo and start a restoration, the app sends a compressed copy of that photo, your selected restoration category and settings, and a job identifier to our service. For Reunion, it sends each photo you selected. For Living Photo, our service uses your existing restored result and creates a short video from it. If you recolor a photo from family memories, the colors you chose are sent with the request. We store the submitted photos, a generated preview, and the restored result or video to process the request and let you view or download it. Photos and videos you save to your device remain in your device’s Photos library until you remove them there.

Photo stories. Names, dates, places, notes, and voice notes you add to a photo’s story are stored only on your device and are not sent to our service.

Family answers. If you use Ask Your Family, we store a copy of the photo you choose and create a private link that expires after 30 days. Anyone with that link can see the photo and send an answer: an optional name, text, and an optional voice recording. We transcribe voice answers and use AI to extract the people, dates, places, and colors they mention so you can add them to the photo’s story or use the colors in a new restoration. Answers are shown only to the person who created the link. You can delete a link and its answers at any time; they are also deleted with the photo, with Delete photos and history, or with account deletion, and otherwise within 30 days after the link expires. People who answer can ask us to delete their answer by contacting ascentsupports@gmail.com.

Account and security identifiers. To recognize your usage and purchases, the app uses your iCloud user record identifier when available or an app-generated anonymous identifier stored on your device. The service derives an account identifier from it. We do not receive your Apple Account password or gain access to your entire iCloud photo library. Apple App Attest security data and short-lived session information help us verify requests from the app and prevent abuse.

Purchase and usage records. We process subscription status, product and transaction identifiers, restoration history, free-use status, and purchase events to deliver paid features, prevent duplicate use of purchases, and provide support. Apple handles payment information; we do not receive your full payment card number.

Technical and support information. Our service providers may process IP addresses and technical request or error information needed to deliver and secure the service. If you email support, we receive the email address and information you include in your message.

You can browse the app without sending a photo for restoration. The app accesses a photo you select with the system photo picker or camera. Camera, microphone, and permission to save to Photos are requested only when you use those features; the microphone is used only to record voice notes for a photo’s story.

How we use information

We use this information to provide photo restoration, Reunion, Living Photo, and Ask Your Family, display your history and results, verify purchases, secure the service, troubleshoot failures, answer support requests, and comply with applicable obligations. Restored images and videos are produced by AI and may change or invent visual details. We do not sell your photos or use them for advertising.

Service providers and sharing

We use service providers to host and store data, to run the AI that processes photos, creates videos, and transcribes and analyzes family answers, and to manage in-app purchases and subscription events using your account identifier. Apple supplies the photo picker, camera, microphone, and Photos permissions, App Attest, the iCloud account identifier when available, and App Store purchases under Apple’s own policies.

We share information with these providers only for the purposes described above. Their processing may take place in countries other than yours, under their own policies. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.

Storage, retention, and deletion

Your app history, photo stories, and voice notes are stored on your device. Submitted photos, previews, results, videos, and associated job records are stored on our service so you can access them in the app. They remain until you delete an individual restoration or use Settings → Delete photos and history, subject to completion of an in-progress request or a technical backup or log retention period. Deleting in-app content does not remove copies you separately saved to Photos or copies held by a provider under its own retention policy.

Delete photos and history removes the app’s local restoration history and requests removal of the associated photos, videos, family links and answers, and job history from our service. It does not delete the account’s free-use status, purchase or transaction records, or security records. We keep those records to recognize entitlements, prevent duplicate use or fraud, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations. They are retained while needed for those purposes and deleted or de-identified when no longer needed, subject to applicable law. Our service providers may retain their own processing records according to their policies.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of remaining account information, or to ask about consent and privacy rights, email ascentsupports@gmail.com. Include enough information for us to locate your account without sending a photo or payment-card details. We may need to verify your request. You can stop future photo processing by not starting another restoration, and you can withdraw camera, microphone, or Photos permissions in iOS Settings. Uninstalling the app removes local app data according to iOS behavior but does not by itself delete service records or cancel a subscription.

Security and children

We use access controls and other reasonable measures to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Restorie is not designed specifically for children. If you believe a child’s personal information was submitted without appropriate authority, contact us.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app or its data practices change. The effective date above shows when this version took effect. For privacy questions or requests, email ascentsupports@gmail.com.
